So where I am going with all of this??
Shoe Shopping!
Now that I had finally chosen my dress it was time to dress up my toesies!
I decided early on that I did not want to jump on the wagon with colored shoes. Although it's hard not to with photos like these floating around wedding blog world:

Gorgeous right?! And yet, I think there is something so timeless and classic about white wedding shoes:

Choosing my shoes actually one of the easiest decisions I made. When I went to David's Bridal the consultant gave me the most beautiful and (more importantly) comfiest heels I had ever tried on. As soon as I decided on my dress I hopped onto the David's Bridal website and ordered myself a pair.
And they're here!

You'll have to excuse the crappy quality... I love taking photos, but I'm no professional! You can see them in all their glory here. Now these shoes are definitely comfy, but there is no getting around the fact that they have a record-breaking 3 7/8" heel. The vain part of me is all, "YIPPEE I'm going to be 5'3" on my wedding day!!", but the lazy (and probably more rational) part of me is saying, "OMG you insane woman, how are you going to walk around/dance/do the cupid shuffle in 4 inch heels ALL DAY?!"
And so, I thought it would be in my best interest to invest in a pair of flippy floppies just in case.
I was pleasantly surprised by all of the options I found. Do ya wanna see?? Of course you do!!

Okay now I almost bought this pair... Especially since they were a 3.5" wedge which means less trippin' over my dress during the reception. BUT I found an even better pair on Ebay! They are epic. Seriously. Although, I'm pretty sure my mother will not approve (Sorry Mom!).
They just came in a few weeks ago so stay tuned cuz I can't wait to show them off!
What kind of shoes are you wearing for the big day? Do you like the traditional white shoes like me or are you going bold with colored shoes?
And more importantly... Are you a two-shoe bride? Are you bringing something more comfortable to slip into for the reception?
