I'm not really a trendy bride. Actually, I'm not much of a trendy person in general. I mean, I still have clothes in my closet from high school! I am obviously out of the loop. And that's okay! I like to think of myself as a traditional bride with some modern twists thrown in there.

Well I never got a chance to try on this exact model, but I did try on some similar styles.... Aaaaand I hated it. This type of dress looked decidedly better on a model than on me and I knew I had to move on. Ugh, it broke my little heart to let go of it, but I knew that there was something better out there for me in the wide world of wedding dresses.

And so, my search for the perfect dress began.

I want to let you guys in on a little secret. Are you ready for this?

Wedding dress shopping isn't easy.

I know. You're shocked, aren't you??

I think I'm probably disillusioned from watching too many episodes of Say Yes to the Dress, but I really thought I was going to waltz on into my friendly neighborhood bridal shop, throw on a few dresses, find one that rocked and have my happily ever after.
