The Coyotes Hunt for a Venue (Part II)

After a quick lunch break we headed out to our last appointment of the day. I was still feeling pretty fatigued, but I figured it was just from all of the running around we were doing. And so we pressed on.

There's not much to say about this next venue. It was nice, but it just wasn't what we were looking for. It was also a bit small for our group. There definitely wouldn't be enough room for everyone to sit during the ceremony and although we would fit in the reception room, it would be a bit cramped.

After we toured the facility the coordinator sat us down in a small side room to go over the details. She gave us some paperwork to look over and started to talk about the different packages they offered and....

I fell asleep.

Yep. Totally conked out. Not my proudest moment.

But in my defense... The room was so cozy and warm... And the coordinator had this nice, quiet, calming voice... And did I mention I was tired??

I felt so bad, but honestly I couldn’t wait to get out of there. We definitely weren’t interested in this place after our tour and I was completely exhausted. I just wanted to go home.

By the time we finally got back to my parents’ house it became clear that it wasn’t just the busy day that had made me tired. I started sneezing. And sniffling. And coughing.

That’s right... I had come down with a full blown cold.

I felt terrible! AND we still had one more venue to see the next afternoon. And THEN Mr. Coyote and I had to drive back to our apartment, 3 hours away.

By the next morning I was feeling even worse. My parents suggested we postpone this appointment for another weekend, but honestly I didn’t know when we’d be coming back. So I loaded my stubborn-ass self up with tissues and cough drops and we headed out.

This last venue was really nice, but it was tucked away in the middle of nowhere and I was concerned that our guests would get lost. As we were driving along we kept looking at each other and saying “Where is this place??” Plus, their ceremony space was outside and although it was beautiful, they did not have a very good back up plan in case of rain. (Are you seeing a trend??)

Even though we ultimately did not end up with this venue either, it’s totally gorgeous. I just have to share some photos with you.

This glass conservatory is just jaw-dropping. I die.

The outdoor ceremony space overlooks a beautiful pond filled with swans, geese, and yes, even a few peacocks!!

To be honest, I was in such a Sudafed-induced haze that I don’t remember much else about this place. My parents and Mr. C kind of took over the conversation with the coordinator from here because they knew I was in no condition to string together a coherent thought. I swear I almost dozed off in this meeting too.

I had pretty much checked out by this point so I dragged my sick, pathetic self into the car and we headed home.

Next up.... I recover and we choose a venue!

Aren’t you excited that you won’t have to hear me yakking about venues anymore?!
